Crafted for Nove Studio’s coastal atelier, the Cava armchairs fuse geological expression with architectural precision. Each piece is constructed using CNC-cut solid stone panels—one in honed travertine with cast aluminum inlays, the other in a matte bronze-coated aluminum alloy. These forms are precision-joined with concealed dowels to preserve their monolithic geometry, allowing the material character to remain uninterrupted.

Cava I features a hybrid composition of natural travertine and molten-cast aluminum, seamlessly embedded to create an organic surface pattern reminiscent of erosion and sedimentary layering. The aluminum is poured into pre-carved cavities and ground flush, achieving a tactile dialogue between mineral density and metallic sheen. The result is both sculptural and structural—a chair that acts as a visual anchor in space.

Cava II is fabricated entirely from a custom-oxidized aluminum alloy, selected for its low-gloss finish and resistance to fingerprinting. The ergonomic shell is cold-formed with a single-axis bend, yielding a subtle curvature that softens the silhouette. The integrated seat pan is upholstered in raw linen padding over high-density foam, chosen to contrast the cool touch of metal with a sense of warmth and tactility.

Both models are engineered for indoor use in high-end hospitality and residential settings. Non-slip pads are recessed into the base to protect flooring and ensure stability. The collection embodies Interface Craft’s ethos: to craft enduring, collectible design systems that translate material intelligence into everyday elegance.
