Studio Domus is a tailored interior concept designed by Interface Craft for a creative executive’s private office. The project called for a space that could alternate seamlessly between focused work, client-facing meetings, and moments of solitude. Our design strategy was anchored in clear geometry, precise finishes, and tonal restraint — delivering a setting that feels both elemental and exacting.
At the heart of the room is a monolithic dining-work table in brushed stainless steel, flanked by custom walnut and caned chairs. The pairing reflects Interface Craft’s ethos: combining high-performance materials with hand-finished warmth. The table’s welded base structure allows for seamless grounding, while the chairs maintain a sense of tactility and movement through their angled joinery.
The meeting area features two box-arm lounge chairs and a low console table — both fabricated from cold-brushed steel with saddle leather upholstery. All surfaces are fingerprint-resistant, with softened edges formed through manual grinding. The grid of ceramic art tiles behind the seating was curated in collaboration with local ceramicist, each piece glazed by hand to register tactile pattern and pigment bleeding. The result is a visual rhythm that plays against the otherwise rigorous palette.
The workspace’s storage is custom-built from the same steel panels as the furniture, maintaining formal cohesion throughout. Its blackened walnut top was oiled in-house and floats with a recessed mount over the cabinetry. This controlled tension between warmth and precision — between craft and clarity — defines the tone of the space. Quiet yet expressive, the project offers a controlled backdrop for focused creative thinking.
