The Petra Table is a sculptural monolith, composed of a solid slab of natural limestone set on custom-brushed steel blades. Designed by Interface Craft for both residential and hospitality contexts, the piece functions as an architectural anchor—its mass and material presence defining the rhythm of a room. The table’s proportions are calibrated to low-seated lounge environments, making it suitable as a centerpiece in soft-spoken interiors.

The tabletop is carved from raw crema limestone, quarried in Spain and finished by hand to retain its tactile, unpolished character. Edge profiles are kept as-cut, preserving the natural break lines and stratification from the block. The surface is left unsealed but lightly brushed, creating a soft matte texture that enhances its geological expression while remaining inviting to the touch. A shallow circular indentation on one corner—a carved “void”—invites ritual, function, or ornament.

The base structure is formed from laser-cut stainless steel with a warm, low-lustre patina. Its blade legs are recessed for a floating effect, giving visual lift to the weight of the stone. Hidden stainless anchors connect the slab to the base, engineered for discreet rigidity without visible hardware. The table ships in two parts for ease of handling and installs with no surface hardware exposed.

Petra exemplifies Interface Craft’s commitment to timelessness through matter: primitive, composed, and deliberate. The design rejects fast joinery and ornamentalism in favor of clarity and composition. Each piece is fabricated to order and may be customized in stone type, dimension, or base finish upon request. Ideal for clients seeking a quiet object of permanence—one that softens with age and anchors space with restraint.
